RepairSolutions2: How to Access TSBs and Recalls
When is a recall issued?
A recall is done when a vehicle manufacturer or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) determines that a certain vehicle, equipment, car seat, or tire can be a source of a safety risk or doesn't meet the minimum safety standards. All recalls and remedies are voluntarily conducted by manufacturers before NHTSA gets involved.
How can the RS2 app determine a recall?
The RS2 App will display all recalls related to your vehicle's model and year of manufacturing. However, to confirm specific recalls, you can visit the NHTSA Website.
You can also contact your vehicle's dealer, who will require you to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) so that you will know if a certain recall affects your serial number.
