RepairSolutions2: Setup Handheld OBD2 with Android
Step 1 - Get the RS2 App.

On your Android phone, download the RepairSolutions2 App from Google Play. You can view the app's information online here: Google Play Store Alternatively, you can:
- Open Google Play on your Android Device.
- Search for RepairSolutions2.
- Select the Install button to begin downloading the app.

Step 2 - Create an account.
|
Once installed, open the App and select Create account. |
|
Fill up your details then read and check the box I agree to the EULA/Terms and Privacy Policy. After completing these steps, select Continue. |
Step 3 - Proceed to the RS2 app.

Select YES to begin connecting the app with a compatible OBD2 scan tool. |
Step 4 - Follow the instructions on the screen.
|
A Bluetooth connection is required for your app to work with your handheld OBD2 device. Make sure that your Bluetooth is turned on before you begin pairing your device and while performing a scan using your OBD2 device. You can select Go to settings to turn on your Bluetooth. |

Plug your Handheld OBD2 into your Vehicle. If you are unsure where to plug your scan tool device into your vehicle, select the option Show me where at the bottom of the description to find your OBD2 DLC Port. |

Turn your vehicle to the ON position. You do not need to start your vehicle. Select the option Show me how at the bottom of the description for details on how to turn the ignition on. |

After following the instructions and checking all three boxes on the screen, select Continue. |
Step 5 - Pairing to your Handheld OBD2 Device.

Wait for the RS2 app to search for your handheld OBD2 device. Select your device once it appears on the list. |
|
Give your OBD2 device a moment to pair with the app. |
|
Once the Success prompt appears in the app, select Continue. |
Step 6 - Wait until the RS2 app reads the data from your vehicle.

Once your paired with the RS2 app, the data from your tool will automatically transfer and create a report in the RepairSolutions2 app. |
Note: If the data does not automatically transfer, keep the app open and the tool plugged into your vehicle, then select Relink on your handheld.
Step 7 - Viewing your vehicle's diagnostic report.

In some vehicles, the app will not be able to pull the data needed to create your report. In those cases, you may be prompted to submit relevant information such as your mileage as shown in the images. |

Wait for the RS2 app to finish. |
|
You now have created a report which contains your vehicle's diagnostic data. Select Results in the red banner to view your complete report. |
